I have been asked several question's about camshafts ,  My back ground is 45 years in the VW repairs . It is not the camshafts causing this problem , It is the engine oil . Specs have changed  over the years on motor oil for pollution.  ( about the same thing that has happened to diesel fuel )  The camshafts we use match the specs with OEM. same hardness same grind We have had these tested   . If the oil is not correct , any part will wear quickly and not last . Study oil additives and you will understand Find a good oil and additive you trust ,  Any question's Just ask.

Aston Martin ‘Power Beauty Soul’ European Tour

Sun, 26 Aug 2012

Aston Martin are taking the Vanquish, V12 Zagato and V12 Vantage Roadster on a PR tour of European Aston Martin dealers. For a car company with limited technical resources, one platform and two engines, Aston Martin are making a pretty good fist of launching new models. We’ve recently had the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish – successor to the DBS – with a harder edge and a bigger price tag, the V12 Vantage Roadster with the glorious V12 where it should be – in the front of an open-topped car for aural joy – and the V12 Zagat0, a limited run collaboration with Zagato at three times the price of the donor car.

Design Essay: Are smart roads just around the corner?

Wed, 07 May 2014

In order to remain relevant, the car must constantly evolve. But while almost all attention focuses on four wheels, the roads that facilitate an automobile's progress have remained relatively unaltered since Eisenhower formed the National Highway system in the 1950s. With environmental concerns getting ever higher on the agenda, there is an opportunity to think outside the (metal) box and rethink the road, making it as smart as the vehicles and devices that travel upon it.
