Are you tired of guessing the fluid level of your Dodge NV5600 transmission?
You know how much fluid is in the transmission when you replace it, but how can you check the level?
This custom cover is designed to correct the fluid level on a Dodge NV5600 6 speed standard transmission.
Fill to the bottom of the plug on the cover (top plug). This represents the correct fluid level for this transmission.
Factory plug represents 5 qt level, but you need 1 extra qt of fluid to cover the internal bearings.

AND.......

There are 3 ports on the bottom of the cover for adding a cooler or filter system.
The "in" and "out" ports are for the fluid recirculating system.
The center port (unlabeled) is for a temperature sensor or the magnetic plug.
Check back soon for more manual transmission cooling system components.

From High Impact website
"Manufacturer's specs indicate it holds 5 qts, however we recommend putting in 6 qts. There has been a problem with rear mainshaft bearing failure due to inadequate lubrication. Adding the extra oils resolves this problem."

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

It's no secret we love our high-riding SUVs and crossovers in the United States, but cars still outsell utilities by a 2-to-1 margin. For automakers, that's a clue that there is significant sales potential to buyers who pine for an off-road vehicle but secretly desire a sportier, more carlike cruiser for the highway. For Audi, the answer is the A4 Allroad.

Driven: Citroën C4 Cactus

It wasn't our intention to hunt down random old Citroëns in the new C4 Cactus – on our first acquaintance with this new car in Amsterdam, they found us. The first was a beige 1971 DS Safari. It cruised by as we stopped for a photocall on the outskirts of the Dutch capital.
