Punchy diesel bound for Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper diesel will run the 1.6-litre HDi four, which features in Peugeot-Citroen and Ford cars. Peak power is 110bhp, with 180lb ft of torque on tap.

Last weekend saw the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance event in the Queen’s weekend back garden with cars from every year of Her Majesty’s reign gathered to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. The new Hyundai Santa Fe (which isn’t the new ix45) seems a long way on from the boxy, almost utilitarian, current Santa Fe with its take on Hyundai’s Fluidic design mantra, now dubbed ‘Storm’, making the new Santa Fe look a much more premium offering than the current model.
