This unit will bolt in place of a Hurth / ZF transmission, please contact me for details. List price is $1789, we sell these new units discounted. It is rated for a maximum 45 horsepower diesel engine at 3600 rpm. The engine must have left hand [ counterclockwise ] rotation, when looking at the flywheel. It will bolt to a 4" diameter Borg Warner / Velvet Drive prop shaft coupler. We have these couplers in stock, new, to fit 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1.125", 1.25" and 1.375" diameter prop shafts. $69 each. VW reveals plug-in diesel hybrid concept, claims 261 mpg

The VW XL1 uses a lithium-ion battery pack, an electric motor and a two-cylinder, 0.8-liter diesel engine for the powertrain.
