The EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force at the touch of a button while in the driver's seat. This is accomplished by controlling stepping motors installed on each shock absorber. Because the damping force can be controlled with such ease, the driver can adjust the suspension to suit all road/track conditions. Thus allowing the driver to fully enjoy the driving experience. |

RCA students redesign the Fiat 500 and Panda for 2020
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Royal College of Art students have redesigned the Fiat 500 and the Panda for 2020 in its 'Two of a Kind' contest. The project challenged Royal College of Art students to design the Panda or 500 of 2020 in teams consisting of Masters students from the vehicle design program and other courses. After 14 presentations, two proposals were chosen each for the Fiat Panda and Fiat 500 by an expert panel that included Ramaciotti, Fiat chief exterior designer Andreas Wuppinger, senior designers and RCA teachers and staff.
London black cabs to go 100% green by 2018
Mon, 20 Jan 2014The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, announced plans this week that will require all new London taxis to be zero-emission capable from 1 January 2018. The Mayor was speaking at Transport for London's 'New Taxis for London', an event where he met five manufacturers currently developing vehicles designed to meet the new requirements. Boris Johnson has previously pledged to make the capital an Ultra Low Emission Zone by 2020, although some have argued that it needs to come sooner than that.
