Vauxhall Corsa now gets 85.6 mpg

The Vauxhall Corsa – and, for that matter, the Opel Corsa – has been revealed as the most economical car ever built by GM Europe after a series of tweaks has cut its already impressive fuel consumption. The 153bhp turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol nets lower CO2 emissions, down 14g/km to 153, and economy is also improved, up to 42.2mpg from 39.8.

The aim of this powerful duo is to deliver a wide range of design and build services directly to Chinese OEMs, with the first fruit of their labors being a concept car for Chinese manufacturer BAIC, to be unveiled at the Beijing auto show.
