If you like to plug in accessories such as cell phones
and MP3 players, look for a dual adapter that lets you
plug in both at the same time. It eliminates the need to
switch cords during flight. The Telex dual cell phone/MP3
adapter also has a single switch, so you can immediately
mute all accessory sound to hear important cockpit
communication. Volume Adjustment Headsets that let you adjust volume on each ear
cup independently are helpful if you have a hearing
imbalance or there is a louder noise on one side of
the plane. Sound is a critical part of the flying experience. That’s why choosing a headset is so important. You want one
that provides protection and, at the same time, lets you enjoy
the ambient sounds that come with the territory.
An aviation headset is a surprisingly complex piece of
equipment; far more complex than a headset produced for
consumer or land-based communication. While a headset
may sound good on the showroom floor tuned to a CD, will
it provide the same quality in the air? You don’t want to wait
until an emergency situation to find out. Posted with eBay Mobile |

Last-ever BMW M3 Coupe rolls off line
Tue, 09 Jul 2013With only a shade over 16,000 examples produced for the worldwide market during its run, the first-generation BMW M3 wasn't built in significantly larger numbers than the Lamborghini Gallardo (13,059 cars by the end of the 2012 model year). And they were all coupes. The four-door M3 was introduced in 1994, two years after the second-generation coupe bowed, sat out the car's E46 run and then returned for the E90's run.
Ford engine plant builds number 10 million
Wed, 18 Feb 2009Ford's 90-degree, overhead-cam Modular V8 has covered a wide spectrum since it was introduced in 1991--powering luxury cars, SUVs, pickups and high-performance sports cars. A large number of those engines have come from a Ford plant in Romeo, Mich., which has now built its 10-millionth engine--a 4.6-liter V8 that is headed for a 2010 Mustang GT. The Romeo engine plant was converted from a tractor factory.
Hankook tire exec calls for global campaign to point out dangers of low tire pressure
Thu, 23 Sep 2010Anyone driving a car today has certainly heard about the dangers of drinking and driving, and the use of a cell phone and texting while driving. Seung Hwa Suh, vice chairman and CEO of Hankook tires, is hoping more drivers will pay attention to the dangers of low tire pressure and driving. At The Tire Society's 29th Annual Meeting and Conference on Tire Science and Technology, Suh proposed that all tire manufacturers "jointly develop a global campaign for educating consumers about air pressure and the overwhelming benefits that we can all enjoy if we simply maintain proper inflation," he said.
