It wasn’t the most shocking story considering how feeble the London Cab has become in comparison to newer offerings like the Mercedes Taxi – which is taking a big chunk of sales from the traditional cab – but still sad to see the iconic London Taxi end up this way. We’ve been big fans of the way Hyundai has marketed their products in the last few years, managing to change perceptions of the brand in a fraction of the time mighty VW took with Skoda. What we’re not too sure of is the latest marketing tactic being tried out by Hyundai in the Netherlands, who have enlisted the skills of hypnotist Peter Powers to create a 15 minute immersive video designed to be watched full screen on your computer – with headphones on – as Powers lets you experience the new Hyundai i30 in a whole new way.

BMW recalls 132,000 cars for fuel-pump fixes

BMW is recalling about 130,000 cars fitted with its N54 twin-turbo six-cylinder engine to repair a faulty high-pressure fuel pump. The recall covers the 2007-10 335i; the 2008-10 135i, 535i and X6 xDrive35i, and the 2009-10 Z4 sDrive35i. BMW says about 40,000 of those cars will need a new fuel pump.
