Tera Manufacturing was started in the fall of 1996 to meet the needs of the growing market for heavy duty off road equipment and suspension enhancements. TeraFlex was the first manufacturer to introduce a Jeep TJ Wrangler suspension system onto the market. TeraFlex has been professionally involved with Jeeps since the 1950's and our experience has taught us how to make them perform their best. Since the beginning of TeraFlex we have constantly added unique and innovative products to make our line what it is today. Other suspension systems also followed, and again we were the first to offer a suspension system for the Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee. Tera Manufacturing has also been an innovator in developing alternate gear ratios for the low range portion of production transfer cases from Dana Spicer and New Venture Gear Company. Tera Manufacturing was instrumental in working with the engineers at New Venture Gear Company to develop the current 4:1 ratio transfer case now in use with Jeep corporation for the rubicon edition TJ Wrangler. We are still the only aftermarket company to address the low range needs of the NV231 transfer case. With the increased demand for extreme duty axle applications Tera Manufacturing began manufacturing a new hybrid axle design that addressed the weak aspects of the Dana 60 High pinion differential. TeraFlexs' line of heavy duty axles have been designed to withstand all of the abuse and power that popular Rock Crawling competition events like UROC put them through. As a company we are known for our ability to take an existing product and enhance its usefulness and performance for specific needs off-road while retaining the drivability requirements that are necessary and essential for highway use. Our products are engineered, tested and developed with you in mind. If we are not always improving on your experience in a Jeep, then we are not doing our Job.

Police to target uninsured drivers by crushing their cars

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

The Metropolitan Police operation to cut down on uninsured drivers by crushing their vehicles could be rolled out nationwide, claims Auto Express. Operation Cubo has seized more than 14,000 vehicles in London since it was introduced in October 2011. The campaign sets up sites targeting specific areas, using automatic number plate recognition systems to identify cars being driven without insurance.

Subaru XV gets a price cut – down by £1300 on 1.6 litre versions

Sat, 18 May 2013

It wasn’t a bad starting point for an able mid-sized crossover – a high-riding Impreza, in all but name –  but it wasn’t the cheapest offering in the class. But now, with the Yen being a bit kinder to Japanese car makers, Subaru has decided to nudge the price a bit lower to start the XV range off below £20k for the first time. The price drop for the XV only applies to the 1.6 litre petrol versions, but you can now get the entry-level XV 1.6i S for a more affordable £19,995 rising to £23,415 for the XV 1.6i SE with the Lineartronic gearbox, reductions across the range of £1300.
