Tera Manufacturing was started in the fall of 1996 to meet the needs of the growing market for heavy duty off road equipment and suspension enhancements. TeraFlex was the first manufacturer to introduce a Jeep TJ Wrangler suspension system onto the market. TeraFlex has been professionally involved with Jeeps since the 1950's and our experience has taught us how to make them perform their best. Since the beginning of TeraFlex we have constantly added unique and innovative products to make our line what it is today. Other suspension systems also followed, and again we were the first to offer a suspension system for the Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee. Tera Manufacturing has also been an innovator in developing alternate gear ratios for the low range portion of production transfer cases from Dana Spicer and New Venture Gear Company. Tera Manufacturing was instrumental in working with the engineers at New Venture Gear Company to develop the current 4:1 ratio transfer case now in use with Jeep corporation for the rubicon edition TJ Wrangler. We are still the only aftermarket company to address the low range needs of the NV231 transfer case. With the increased demand for extreme duty axle applications Tera Manufacturing began manufacturing a new hybrid axle design that addressed the weak aspects of the Dana 60 High pinion differential. TeraFlexs' line of heavy duty axles have been designed to withstand all of the abuse and power that popular Rock Crawling competition events like UROC put them through. As a company we are known for our ability to take an existing product and enhance its usefulness and performance for specific needs off-road while retaining the drivability requirements that are necessary and essential for highway use. Our products are engineered, tested and developed with you in mind. If we are not always improving on your experience in a Jeep, then we are not doing our Job. | |

College Exhibition: Coventry University Degree Show 2007
Wed, 27 Jun 2007Undergraduate students from Coventry University's Transportation Design program had their initial show in the end of May this year, but the range of projects was so vast that a selection of work from the annual degree show was then chosen and displayed in Coventry Transport Museum on June 15. Car Design News was there to see what had been selected. Inspired by the Alfa BT4B with which Niki Lauda won the Swedish Formula One Grand Prix in 1978, Stephan Everwin created a modern interpretation of the 'Fan Car'. Its rakish lines all culminate in a smooth aerodynamic shape that incorporates a huge fan between the rear wheels creating a massive vacuum under the car providing downforce at high speed.
Car4mh Geneva motor show 2009 blog
Wed, 04 Mar 2009By Car4mh Motor Shows 04 March 2009 15:00 Oh my god! It’s...the celebrity-spotting reader-blogger No report from one of the world’s great motorshows would be complete without a wide-eyed fanboy list of all the famous people he saw there. So bear with me while I try to avoid sounding like Jeremy Hart or Piers Morgan while name-dropping furiously below (I know, it’s impossible, but can’t blame me for trying). Paparazzi pics provided where available. 1) Georg Kacher – spotted outside having a smoke by the entrance on Monday press day, as Team Thonon-les-bains (car4mh, Lokinen, Robby1977) battled their way to meet up with editor Tim. Georg really is larger than life. We didn’t get a chance to say hi, but Robby noted that being part of the international brotherhood of nicotine addicts wasn’t a bad thing if you’re in such illustrious company. Batty, we did not accomplish your dare, for all the reasons I mentioned in the forum and more. 2) Tim Pollard – ok, I’m cheating because we were working for him, but come on, the guy does great work for the website.
