The item is the debut issue of The Chevrolet Technician's Dispatch - Astro I by Chevrolet. Published by the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors, this 10-page booklet is a publication specially designed by Chevrolet to bring "interesting information" to each and every Chevrolet technician. Not necessarily technical information, product information or general information - just plain material on interesting subjects without establishing specific restrictions as to nature, content or structure. This initial publication is simply a preview of the type of material which would be in subsequent issues. The Dispatch was initially scheduled to be published three times a year at four month intervals. This book is NOT a reproduction or a reprint – but the actual booklet printed by Chevrolet for dealership service technicians. It is in very good condition. The Siggraph conference and exhibition ranges from several days of highly technical courses and academic paper presentations, through to hands-on demos of new technologies, an art gallery, computer animation festival, and the two-day exhibition by software and hardware vendors. Siggraph straddles the scientific, engineering and the artistic aspects of computer graphics and interaction, with film-makers showing how they made "Giant Frickin' Robots" for the upcoming Transformers movie, while the Papers presentations and Courses deal with the latest research, software evolution and hardware systems that make it all possible.
