The Black Box Hydrogen System is a compact ultra efficient on-board hydrogen generator.  The Black Box uses the vehicle's alternator surplus power converting water into a hydrogen-oxygen gas. When this gas is introduced into the engine's air intake, the hydrogen catalyzes with the fuel creating a more efficient burn of gasoline and diesel fuels. This combination of hydrogen and fuel gases results in enhanced combustion, improved mileage and power with a substantial reduction of exhaust emissions.

The Black Box can be installed on vehicles that run on Gasoline,
Diesel, Bio-diesel, Ethanol, E85, E10, CNG and Vegetable Oil.


We have enhanced our complete Systems with our new proprietary Water Reservoirs and Scrubber Tanks. All of our Systems include at least 2 tanks/scrubbers. Until now, there hasn't been a better or more compact method found when it comes to filtering/cleaning and drying hydrogen/ oxygen gases produced by electrolysis.

But first, a little history.
The better hho Systems sold today use Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) or Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), the 2 substances that catalyze water most efficiently. Tests have shown that when combining distilled water with one of these catalysts, the Cells run cleaner producing a more homogeneous and productive
hydroxy mix.

However, both KOH and NaOH has a reactive affinity with aluminum that can corrode and or build up on engine parts such as the throttle body, heads, pistons when allowed into the engine. This build up can appear as a white residue inside of the engine.

Today, most water reservoirs, bubblers or scrubbers tanks provided by the competition don't effectively filter the hho gas. These Systems produce a white smoky gas of water vapor, steam and potentially damaging air borne KOH / NaOH particles.

Our Water Reservoirs and Scrubber tanks improve filtration of the hho/hydroxy gas. The Water Reservoir has a built in diffuser /gas separator breaking the gas into smaller bubbles. Theelectrolyte surrounds / filters the hho gas reclaiming most of theair borne KOH / NaOH particles while providing a more consistent flow of hho gas. Once you have your System working at the most efficient amperage, you just add distilled water as itis consumed.

Our Black Box Cells have been tested extensively at Olson Eco-Logic an independent emission testing laboratory in California, and California Environmental Engineering, a major EPA-recognized and CARB - Certified Emissions Laboratories.Tests were completed on diesel engines up to 13 Liters in displacement using one of our medium sized Systems. As you see below, our Black Box Cells substantially reduced harmful pollutants and emissions. 

The reduction in emissions, represents a more "complete" combustion of fuel inside the engine.  With our Systems, more of the fuel is being used power your vehicle down the road while emitting fewer pollutants into the environment.

Efficient Vehicles Solutions LLC is a family owned business located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. 

We purchased our first Hydrogen Generator 10 years ago from an "auction website". After a "not so pleasant experience" we searched for a more productive and fool proof design. It became apparent, a better more efficient design and affordable hydrogen generator was needed for the transportation and equipment markets.  

In an effort to solve the issues most commonly associated with other hydrogen generator designs, we developed and built 9 different prototypes including open bath (PVC pipe) and dry cell designs.  

In the end, our innovative and unique Black Box Cell designs was issued a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Our first Black Box design was recognized and awarded a Patent with 19 claims for unique characteristics incorporated into the Cell design.

Our Black Box Cell was introduced in early 2009  and sold under the name of HYDRO CELL.  Hundreds of these models were sold to select dealers in North America.  Since then, we have sold thousands of Systems to domestic and international customers worldwide.

Our small Black Box Design is so powerful and efficient, imitators entered the market in 2010.  Their black box may look nice, but it's poorly constructed, is much bigger and produces less hydrogen gas.  Reportedly it's an open bath design subject to boiling over.

Pininfarina, the Turin, Italy-based automotive styling house, has announced that its design director, Ken Okuyama, has left the company. In a tersely-worded statement Pininfarina said, "The Company's decision comes as a result of the various external activities Ken Okuyama was carrying out beyond his responsibilities within Pininfarina." Ken Okuyama had been Design Director at Pininfarina since July 2005. During this time, Okuyama's most high-profile work was the Maserati Birdcage prototype, created to celebrate 75th anniversary of the Italian styling house.
