This is kit is based on a 1987-92 GM truck Throttle Body Injection system that's ready to swap onto your carbureted Chevy 350. I've stripped down a factory harness to the essentials, labeled all connections (with heavy duty labels) and tested to ensure it works. I have deleted the EGR and oil pressure switch connectors from the harness and it does not have VSS wiring, but the harness is marked if you want to add a VSS.  This kit is meant for use with manual transmissions or older automatics that do not need computer control (TH400, TH350, Powerglide, etc.).  All convoluted loom is new and most of the harness has been wrapped with OEM style harness tape.  The system will work great with most stock or mildly modified engines and should give you easier starting, better throttle response and probably better fuel economy. These are great for 4x4s since you don't have to worry about starvation or flooding on steep trails. Each application is slightly different, so the air cleaner, fuel pump, fuel filter, plug wires, vacuum & fuel lines are not included (but these are inexpensive and easy to obtain). An adapter to mount the throttle body on your intake will also be required.  We're willing to add components (such as fuel pump or throttle body adapter) or delete depending on your needs, just contact us for pricing.  Please feel free to ask questions.  We also sell just the harness, so check our other items for sale.  All of our kits and harnesses come with basic installation instructions.

Note:  We also have a kit with the 700R4 and VSS wiring up for sale in another listing.  TBI does require a fuel return line, some older vehicles may need to have this line added.

This kit comes with the following new parts:
-distributor with cap & rotor (color may vary)
-O2 sensor
-coolant temp sensor
-check engine light
-fuel line adapters
-weld-on bung for O2 sensor
-distributor gasket
-throttle body gasket

Also included are:
-wire harness
-computer
-throttle body with injectors
-MAP sensor
-ESC (ignition/knock control)
-ignition coil
-knock sensor
-air cleaner riser

Note: Not for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles. If your vehicle requires a smog test, this will probably make you fail (your states laws may vary).

Ken Block plays with a MK II Escort!

Mon, 14 Sep 2009

Ken Block goes out to play with a 1978 MK II Escort Early Ford Escorts were capable of more smiles per mile – certainly on a budget – than anything else on the road at the time. My earliest fun with an Escort was even earlier than this in an Escort Mexico – which was a white, 1974 model. Huge fun and very quick by the standards of the day.
