Thu, 15 Aug 2013

The Porsche 918 Spyder arrives at Pebble Beach The Porsche 918 Spyder has been on its way for quite some time, and we’ve seen it in umpteen guises from 918 Concept to 918 in disguise to 918 in Martini colours. And now we get the real deal – the production version of the 918 Spyder. But rather than a fanfare and a gazillion photos, Porsche has simply posted a single photo on Twitter to announce that the production 918 is at Montery Motor Week.

McLaren 650S Spider joins 650S Coupe: Geneva Motor Show

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The McLaren 650S Spider revealed at the Geneva Motor Show We had the reveal of the new McLaren 650S Coupe just last month, but what we didn’t get is the reveal of the Convertible version. But that’s all changed today with the arrival of the McLaren 650S Spider in Geneva with the same trick folding roof as the 12C Spider and the same cosmetic and dynamic changes as the 650S Coupe. That means open-top motoring with stunning performance – 0-62mph in 3 seconds and 124mph in 8.5 seconds thanks to the 650S’s 641bhp and 500lb/ft of torque from its updated 3.8 litre V8.

Alfa Romeo MiTo gets a bit of a facelift for 2014 & more powerful TwinAir

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

The 2014 MY Alfa MiTo (pictured) get small tweaks and a more powerful TwinAir engine. We like the Alfa Romeo MiTo; it’s an underrated car and should be higher on most buyers’ wish lists. What we also like is that the MiTo has the fun little 875cc TwinAir engine as an option, which works pretty well, makes a good noise and promises stunning economy.
