One Lap of the Web: Stuck in the mud, and eye surgery ahead of the Mint 400
Fri, 14 Mar 2014-- Take a tour of the Koenigsegg factory, which is really a hangar once used by the Scania Air Force Wing, proving that jets really weren't born from old Opels. See the One:1 that recently made its debut at the Geneva motor show, as well as the Agera R that was used in Need for Speed. Opel Corsa
Mon, 22 May 2006Opel has released pictures of the new Corsa, which will make its debut in July at the British Motor Show. Inside, the IP neatly evolves themes from the outgoing model, with cues also shared with the new Antara SUV.
Toyota tests chips that improve hybrid efficiency by 10 percent
Tue, 20 May 2014Toyota announced on Tuesday that it has developed a new semiconductor, claiming it can boost fuel efficiency in hybrid cars by an impressive 10 percent. The semiconductors manage the flow of electricity through the power-control unit that connects the battery to an electric or hybrid car's motor and generator. The newly developed semiconductors are said to consume only a tenth of the energy of today's chips, while allowing the power-control unit to be 80 percent smaller.
