Fri, 02 Aug 2013The second half of the ‘70s saw automotive design fall into an era of uninspired and uninspiring economic cars finished with cheap plastic add-ons and stuffed with beige itchy fabrics. Working from the little Bertone studio in Turin, it seems Marcello Gandini didn't get the memo and carried on drawing futuristic wedgey supercars. With the Sibilo, he pushed his signature angular style to a new level of modernity.
SsangYong SIV-1 Concept heading for Geneva
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Another new SsangYong Concept – the SsangYong SIV-1 – is heading for Geneva 2013 to join the new Rodius debut. SsangYong are heading to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new version of the Rodius, which we’re hoping (although not with too much confidence) will be a big improvement on the very challenging looks of the current car. The hope that SsangYong will manage to deliver a Rodius that doesn’t frighten small children is boosted today with the first photos of a new concept from the Indian-owned Korean car maker – the SsangYong SIV-1 Concept (pictured above) – which will arrive at Geneva alongside the new Rodius.
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 gets Ferrari treatment for Formula One team
Thu, 02 Feb 2012Two 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8s made an appearance in Italy on Thursday as the keys were handed over to Formula One drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. That's just another perk of working for a company that owns both Ferrari and Chrysler. The Jeeps are painted in Rosso Corsa, which translates to Racing Red, Ferrari's signature color.
