IAAD exhibition - 'The car that does not exist'
Fri, 18 Jun 2004The work of Transportation Design students at the Institute of Applied Arts and Design - Turin, will be shown in an exhibition covering the study and planning of a concept car for Fiat, and a new sedan for Honda. Titled 'The car that does not exist', the exhibition will open on Monday 28th June at the Automobile Museum of Turin (press 2pm, public 6pm) and runs until 2nd September. In addition to the students projects, the exhibition includes historic vehicles and prototypes from both brands.

Sat, 10 Oct 2009Full details of the 2010 Subaru Legacy Tourer As we reported when the Legacy was launched at Frankfurt, all Legacy models get a Boxer engine and four-wheel drive. But you do get a choice of either a diesel or a petrol Boxer lump. The diesel Boxer in the Legacy offers decent performance – 0-60mph in 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 120mph – and emissions of 161g/km with fuel consumption at 46.3mpg.

If BMW are going to go further downmarket in their quest for more sales – which we know they are with their plans for front wheel drive BMWs – then short of a sub-brand marque (entirely possible some will wear the Isetta or i-setta badge) then the only number we have to play with is a big, fat 0. It seems daft to give a BMW a leading 0 and its own series, but it certainly looks to be under consideration.
