MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater arrive
Fri, 20 Jan 2012MINI Bayswater and MINI Baker Street Two new MINI Special Editions named after London districts arrive in the form of the MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater. MINI decided around this time last year that they would name all future limited editions after London districts, since which time we’ve had the MINI Hampton and MINI Pimlico followed by the MINI Soho and even the MINI London to get a bit of extra mileage out of BMW’s Olympics 2012 sponsorship. And now we get the MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater.

Bentley today released this single photo of a biofuel-powered new model that is designed to convince us that Crewe’s cars can survive in these carbon-crunched times. Very few details have been released – not even a name for this shadow-shrouded first image – but the car appears to be based on the Continental family, judging by that familiar snout.

Designed by Italian coachbuilder Magvisio, the Ferruccio was a rebodied Murcielago LP640 and would have been faster than any current car wearing the Lamborghini badge, with a claimed top speed of 230mph. Although not an official Lamborghini project, Sant'Agata was monitoring the scheme ‘with interest’, according to its creators.Magvisio specialises in customisation jobs for private clients, and the Ferruccio was to be its first stab at designing a car from the ground up.
