The Toyota FT-86 G Sports has been revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon With the Detroit Motor Show only just kicking off you’d be forgiven for thinking that Detroit is the epicentre of all that’s going on in the car world at the moment. By Tom Richards First Official Pictures 04 August 2008 14:33 Toyota has just unveiled the ‘Winglet’, one of its ‘people-assisting Partner Robots’.  It isn’t exactly a car per se, but it has wheels, a motor, and it is a valid alternative to walking. It even has its own ‘trim’ levels – ‘S’, ‘M’ and ‘L’ (from left to right in our pictures). These range from ‘practical’ (with the long handle) to ‘hands-free sporty’.

This is the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, the 2011 version of the famed German sports car company’s range-topping GT racer. The 911 GT3 RSR’s 4.0-litre flat-six engine now produces 449bhp (five whole horses more than the 2010 version) thanks to ECU tweaks, a redesigned exhaust system and a modified air intake housing. Maximum engine revs are a stratospheric 9400rpm, of course it’s rear-wheel drive, and the gearbox is a six-speed sequential unit.
