TO4R/Z P-Trim Garrett Polished Turbine Shaft

This is a brand new turbine shaft for Garrett TO4E, Precision and Turbonetics turbochargers.  This precision machined shaft is made from a Stainless Steel mainshaft friction-welded to a cast Inconel blade form.  The assembly is then turned on a lathe to have its journal bearing surfaces and thrust plate shaft area machined absolutely true and straight.  We polish the journal surface for the absolute lowest friction between the shaft and the bearings.  This shaft has a longer compressor shaft section to support larger height compressor wheels which flow more air than original Garrett TO4B/E compressor wheels.  Another feature is a 5 degree backcut of the blades for higher exhaust flow through the exducer (blade exit area).  Great for larger performance compressor wheels with 60mm to 70mm inducers.  The complete shaft is balanced for 100,000 rpm + operation on German Schenck balancing equipment.  Compressor nut threads are reverse-rotation which naturally resists nut loosening.  The gas flow through the blades can easily support over 900 WHP which is very serious indeed.

If you need a turbine shaft to repair a T4 series turbo this is what you need.  Also a good starting point for a custom turbo that requires a P-trim. high-flow turbine shaft.  Blueprinted bearing journal treatment identical to our Signature Series turbocharger CHRA's.  Works perfectly in various Garrett, Precision, Turbonetics, and even Master Power turbochargers.

Critical Dimensions:

- Compressor wheel shaft diameter 6.35 mm (standard TO4E/B compressor shaft size)

- Overall length 179.49 mm

- Journal surface length 53.25 mm

- Thrust plate/compressor shaft length 69.61 mm

- Turbine blade outer diameter (inducer) 73.74 mm

- Turbine blade inner diameter (exducer) 63.58 mm

Inside the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

Mon, 11 Apr 2011

With many large and heavy luxury SUVs powered by 5.0-liter V8 engines in its lineup, Land Rover was likely to run headlong into stringent new carbon-reduction legislation around the globe. True, there are small utes, powered by V6 and four-cylinder turbodiesel engines, but these are entry-level models not completely representative of Land Rover's core image. The Range Rover Evoque changes all that.
