TO4S P-Trim Garrett Polished (big) Turbine Shaft

This is a brand new turbine shaft for Garrett TO4S and T-series turbochargers.  The precision machined shaft is made from a Stainless Steel mainshaft friction-welded to a cast Inconel blade form.  The assembly is then turned on a lathe to have its journal bearing surfaces and thrust plate shaft area machined absolutely true and straight.  We polish the journal surface for the absolute lowest friction between the shaft and the bearings.  This shaft has a larger diameter shaft section to support larger diameter compressor wheels which flow more air thanTO4B/E compressor wheels.  The complete shaft is balanced for 100,000 rpm + operation on German Schenck balancing equipment.  The gas flow through the blades can easily support over 1000 WHP which is very serious indeed.

If you need a turbine shaft to repair a T-series turbo this is what you need.  Also a good starting point for a custom turbo that requires a big shaft.  Works perfectly in various Garrett, Precision, Turbonetics, and even Master Power turbochargers.

Critical Dimensions:

- Compressor wheel shaft diameter 7.67 mm (big TO4R/S compressor shaft size)

- Overall length 179.49 mm

- Journal surface length 53.25 mm

- Thrust plate/compressor shaft length 68.61 mm

- Turbine blade outer diameter (inducer) 73.74 mm

- Turbine blade inner diameter (exducer) 63.58 mm

'Ambulance chasers' face new controls

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

THE CULTURE of "ambulance-chasing" lawyers and bogus whiplash claims could come to an end following new measures set out by the Government to crack down on insurance fraud. Lawyers will be banned from offering accident victims incentives such as money or free iPad computers to encourage them to make a claim and courts will be given powers to throw out compensation actions where claimants have been dishonest. The reforms by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) aim to tackle the rise of the compensation culture and reduce the amount being paid out unnecessarily by insurance companies - which can lead to higher premiums for honest customers.

Jaguar XKR (2011MY) Review & Road Test

Fri, 12 Nov 2010

A slightly mud spattered Jaguar XKR after yet another 'Brisk' country run If you choose to think about the history of Jaguar, there’s a fair chance you’ll end up thinking about the two cars that have come to epitomise all that Jaguar stood for – the 1961 Jaguar E-Type and the 1968 Jaguar XJ. If you delve further in to the mush that passes for a brain you’ll probably manage to drag up remnants of automotive lust for cars like the XK120 and XK140 or the D-Type or Jaguar SS or maybe even the Jaguar MK II. And those memories will probably reinforce in your mind that Jaguar are makers of classy, swift and desirable sports cars and sports saloons.
