Torc helmets,a subsidiary of H&H Sports Protection, was born and is based in the same town that gave birth to the motocycle helmet. In 1953,only a few short miles from our headquarters in Commerce,California,USC Professor C. When TORC was born, there existed 2 types of helmets:
1.Cool
2.Price Point
TORC changed a mind set.It is our belief that a rider shouldn't have to pick quality and cool instead of price. We set out to create a lifestyle brand focused on the most important price points in the western hemisphere.

Land Rover Range_e – Hybrid test-bed

Fri, 14 May 2010

The Range Rover Sport based Land Rover Range_e Pragmatically, Land Rover are working hard to change the world’s perception of its products by shouting as loudly as they can about the ‘Green’ credentials they have, from off-setting carbon emissions to 45k miles on every car they sell to adding stop-start to the Freelander 2. But long-term Land Rover are looking to introduce new, lightweight cars in 2012/2013 with the same aluminium underpinnings as Jaguar, and introducing some hybrid technology on the way. With that in mind they’ve put together a Range Rover Sport based Range_e to trial the tech ahead of its use in the next generation of Land Rover’s cars and are planning on running five cars as test-beds this year.

But in-between the award ceremonies, end-of-season parties and test sessions, CAR Online caught up with the Guernsey-based racer ahead of his star turn at this weekend’s Race of Champions. Held at Wembley Stadium on 16 December, RoC sees drivers from disciplines as diverse as Nascar and F1 race head-to-head, country-against-country on what looks like a giant Scalextric set.
