Chrysler Corporation factory converters are “furnace brazed/sweat brazed” as are most race converters, making them extremely durable and resistant to debris accumulation !!!

Most converter suppliers & rebuilders are now applying expensive “core” charges due to the scarcity of the 727 high-stall converters.

Maximum stall speed aprox. 2800-3000 RPM on “RB” engines 413-426W-440, 2600 RPM on “B” engines 361-383, 2400 RPM on forged crank 340’s, and 2100-2300 RPM on 273-318 engines. Fresh, rebuilt  10 ¾”  (WIDE ring gear) 727 HIGH-STALL, non-lockup  torque converter; fits any 727 with 24 spline input shaft (1967 to 1991). This is a “zero balance” unit; can be used with 440 (FORGED crank, without Six Pack rods), 361-383-413-426 Wedge, 318 (cast or forged crank), 273 engines having LARGE converter pilot hole in crankshaft (1.812”) and 340 (FORGED crank). Can also be used with 340 cast crank engines, 440 & 400 cast crank engines, 360 standard & 360 Magnum/Mopar Performance "crate" engines or 440-6 Pack engines with the appropriate aftermarket externally balanced flexplate. If you are replacing the large, low-stall 11 ¾” converter with this 10 ¾” high-stall converter the stall speed INCREASE should range from aprox. 400 RPM with the 318, up to aprox. 600 RPM with a 440; figures are based on an engine capable of making adequate low-RPM torque. REQUIRES correct SMALL diameter V-8 flexplate (10” diameter bolt-circle); flexplate is available from us. Can be used in 1962-early 1967  727 19-spline input Torqueflites by changing input shaft to 24 spline; I have those parts available. Chrysler converters are “furnace brazed” internally from the factory for extra strength (GM & Ford are not); excellent unit for street or occasional drag strip use. We also stock “bolt-in” 19-spline rebuilt high-stall converters for the 1962-early 1967 TF- 727. Shipping & handling is $ 44.35 via ground service. Lexus increasingly will be positioned as a “global premium brand,” the company said on Wednesday, and see improved styling, more hybrids and better service. The brand's sales have fallen 9 percent this year, to 26,674 in the United States.

Audi has chosen the Beijing Motor Show to unveil its new mid-sized Q5 SUV. The newcomer's exterior design is a thoroughly orthodox development of current Audi themes: a mix of Avant and Q7 ideas housed in a deeper body section than one is used to seeing. The rear relates most strongly to the Q7, with its full-width powered tailgate design, where the tail lamps open with the tailgate and auxiliary lamps in the bumper house the mandatory lamp functions.
