Excellent condition, used, Chrysler factory part number 2464651 front clutch apply piston with 15 positions for clutch release springs for the 727; part originated with the 1966 Street HEMI 426 Torqueflites to allow using 12 release springs, which improved the “SECOND-to-DRIVE” shift quality. Differs from the pistons that only have provision for 10 spring positions. Allows greater choice of release spring combinations, to effect the apply and release time of the front clutch and thereby improve the 2-3 shift quality. A necessity when installing many of the “trans brake” valve bodies where they recommend more than 10 springs to operate correctly. Will work with the 1962 through 1970 Torqueflite 727’s front clutch “long-style” lip seals and the 1971+ “short-type” lip seals. Shipping $ 7.55 via Priority Mail; we ship purchases twice weekly, Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. eBay's new policy restricts e-mail addresses between buyers and sellers when using eBay’s messaging system; contact us directly for technical information or pictures by substituting the "@" symbol for the word "at" in the following: tflitepatty"at"comcast (insert dot here) net. Other special parts also available for the HEMI 426& 440 Six-Pack Torqueflites: special wide 5-disc front clutch drums (1964-1970& 1971-1972), OEM/NOS “SpiroLock” snap rings for front clutch spring retainer, special wide KD/second gear bands, special KD band apply levers in 5.0:1 & 4.2:1, special KD servo inner 20 lb. release spring, 4-pinion planetary gearsets (front & rear), HEMI Torqueflite governor parts and kits, as well as rebuilt HEMI torque converters (24-spline & 19-spline) and rebuilt 440 Six-Pack torque converters (both OEM 24-spline [1968+] and 19-spline for 1962-1966 TF-727’s). We also carry most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “soft” parts in “open stock”, available by the piece (gaskets, seals, bushings, ‘O’ rings, clutch discs, steel plates, lip seals, bands, thrust washers, filters, metal sealing rings, etc.) or in “sub-kits” for single-function repair; most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “hard” parts also available. Watch a Lamborghini Hurac
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Some of us around the AW office mostly refuse to be moved by modern Lamborghinis, clinging to the wacky 'n' weird minimal-production maintenance horrorshows of our youth. The Sesto Elemento was a bright spot. Last year's zany Veneno at least looked interplanetary, though it still didn't capture the Barbarella-cool of the LP400.
