This parts kit allows use of a deep oil pan on the Torqueflite 727 and 904; to be used with oil pans having a minimum inside depth of 2-1/4” from pan trail to bottom (inside, directly under the filter) such as the A518 (727) or A500 (904) overdrive transmission oil pans. Kit consists of aluminum filter extension, ‘O’ ring and 3 attaching screws with washers. Mercedes GLA Concept leaks ahead of Shanghai Motor Show debut
Wed, 17 Apr 2013But ahead of a debut of the production ready GLA at Frankfurt, Mercedes are taking a GLA Concept – which is pretty much what the production version will be – to the Shanghai Motor Show this month. But it’s arrived early. Thanks to a German website publishing the pictures ahead of time (which they’ve subsequently removed) we get our first look at Mercedes latest addition to the A Class family – and it does look quite convincing.

But Hyundai – and Kia – have come so far in recent years that it makes absolute sense for them to develop a full-time testing facility at the Nurburgring to test their cars for the road, along with just about every other car maker of note. James May may object to the Nurburgring factor in the suspension set-ups of many road cars (and we do have some sympathy for his point of view), but the sometimes extreme nature of the Nurburgring’s surfaces – and its endless twists and turns, uphill and down – do offer car makers an easily accessible place to test cars in the (almost) real world.
