This brass-screen 2-hole oil filter is interchangeable with
an OEM Dacron 2-hole oil filter and the 1960-1963 coarse-mesh factory steel
screen as well as applications using a 1-hole filter up to 1997. The 1960-1965 Torqueflite 727 & 904 require the 2-hole design, as
they used a second pump located in the rear of the transmission; besides giving
the “push-start” capability to those years, the rear pump also supplied the
operating pressure for the governor which controls upshifts and downshifts in
conjunction with throttle pressure. The 2-hole design was not necessary for
correct Torqueflite operation AFTER the 1965 model year. Brass screen filter
comes with a 2-hole gasket to seal the filter to the valve body. Shipping $ 7.55
via Priority Mail. We ship purchases twice
weekly, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We also stock stamped steel deep pan kits for
the 1962-1965 TF-727. We also have available on auctions or

One Lap of the Web: The Talented Mr. Honda, electric airplanes and Viper-powered Jensens
Mon, 24 Jun 2013We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- A blog post at Hemmings called our attention to this fascinating profile of Soichiro Honda, which was originally printed in the June 16, 1963 edition of the British newspaper The Observer.
