Broke the Torqueflite 727 tailshaft housing on your drag racer or street hot rod ? Usually occurs at high RPM and often caused by driveshaft imbalance, driveshaft bent or not running “true” and/or U-joint angularity out of tolerance, front or rear. After a failure of this type you will need to check and make sure the output shaft is not bent, before replacing the tailshaft housing. This good condition, used, cleaned 18-1/2” OAL housing type was used from 1966 through January 1972 on Torqueflite 727’s used in cars and trucks and HAS provision for factory console shifter bracket. It can service 1972+ applications if the anti-vibration weight usually mounted on the underside, rear of the housing is not being used. Cleaned, inspected and comes with new driveshaft yoke bushing and yoke seal installed, gasket and speedo seals. Installation is quite easy and does not require Torqueflite removal; factory service manual details the replacement procedure. Shipping cost $ 36.35 via FedEx.
