Hyundai i40: On sale UK in June & first i40 interior photo
Fri, 04 Feb 2011The first official photo of the Hyundai i40 interior We’ve run plenty of stories on the Hyundai i40 in the last year or so as Hyundai rolls out its Mondeo-bashing D-Segment car around the world. But as regular readers know, the Hyundai i40 the rest of the world has already got is not the same Hyunda i40 the UK and Europe will get. Unlike Ford – who are trying to make their cars ‘One World’ – Hyundai believes that Europe needs a different i40.
Hyundai i20 to go WRC Rallying
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Hyundai has confirmed it’s going rallying with an i20 heading for the WRC sporting around 300bhp and 4WD. Hyundai has announced that it is going to compete in the FIA World Rally Championships with a car based on the three-door i20. Hyundai hasn’t been rallying since it withdrew from motorsport in 2003, but the arrival of more convincing models – and growing sporty pretensions in the Hyundai range – make a rally glow a sensible move for the Korean firm.
Toyota Auris Touring Sports: Paris 2012
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Toyota has revealed the first estate version of the Auris – the 2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports – at the Paris Motor Show. It’s a sensible move by Toyota to add an estate version to a car that competes in a segment where 25 per cent of all cars sold are estates, and the Auris Estate looks a decent offering. The Auris Touring Sports sits on the same 2600mm wheelbase as the Auris hatch, but it gets and extra 285mm longer thanks to the new shed on the back, a shed that offers what looks like a decent carrying capacity )although Toyota aren’t actually telling us how much ‘stuff’ the Auris estate can carry).
