This listing is for a COMPLETE master engine rebuild kit with our own 261C/Crawler performance camshaft, suitable for all 2366cc (2.4L) SOHC Toyota engines, pickup and 4 Runner, 1985 to 1995 non turbo..  Also for Celica, 1985 only.

  No messing around with shipping cores back and forth, our camshafts are ground to our spec from BRAND NEW Japanese cores.  We also source  new camshaft blanks from a GERMAN supplier when we need to.

It is the unique lobe shape that yanks your chain, .410" gross valve lift assures easy dropin fit with your stock springs and rocker arms,  222° duration @ .050" lobe rise gives it a mild chattery idle quality in most applications,  it features nice early powerband  response with full potential to REDLINE, for the big 4 X 4's, 4 Runners, or for a cool mix of street and offroad use...With NO concerns regards emissions tests  when all is correct.

2. ONE full SET of 4 NEW pistons, with wrist pins and rings, and the new wrist pin clips. Yep, pin bushings, too.  Pick your choice of  piston sizes.

New Subaru WRX STI heading for 2014 Detroit Auto Show After a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September – which looked edgy – to a production reveal at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November – which didn’t – plans for the 2014 Subaru WRX are well on track. And now we’re getting the STI version. The Subaru WRX STI will debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show and is expected to go on sale in the US by mid 2014.

New trim options for the 159 have also been revealed.The first new powerplant is a 16-valve, turbocharged 1.7-litre petrol, which features variable valve timing and direct injection, developing 200bhp and 236lb ft of torque. The new 1750 TBi, which takes its name from the Alfa 1750 Berlina, propels the 159 to 62mph from rest in 7.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 147mph.Joining the petrol motor is a new common-rail 2.0-litre diesel, the JTDM, which produces 170bhp and 265lb ft of torque to give the derv 159 a 0-62mph time of 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 136mph.Are these new Alfa Romeo engines economical?The new petrol motor produces CO2 emissions of 189g/km (lowering the 159’s UK company car benefit-in-kind tax by six bands in comparison with the old 2.2-litre JTS engine) with the diesel pumping out 142g/km.

Longtime auto journalist David E. Davis Jr. dies

David E. Davis Jr., inarguably one of the deans of automotive journalism, died on Sunday, March 27, at age 80. Davis had been suffering from bladder cancer and underwent surgery a few days earlier.
