Buy a Corvette Stingray, get a performance driving school discount

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

New Corvette Stingray owners can get a sweet deal at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Nevada. The two-day program will cost owners just $1,000, instead of the usual $2,500, Chevy said on Wednesday. “We designed the Corvette Stingray to make its owners better drivers through technologies such as the driver mode selector, active rev match, electronic limited-slip differential and more,” said Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, global Chevrolet.

LG seeks a ban on BMW & Audi imports to Korea

Thu, 29 Sep 2011

Audi's LEDs are said to infringe LG patents It seems there isn’t a day that passes without big companies playing out their patent disputes in courts round the world. We’ve seen ongoing spats between Google, Apple, Samsung and HTC, and now we hear that LG Electronics is seeking a ban on imports of Audi and BMW cars to Korea over an LED patent dispute with Siemans Osram. LG Electronics has already demanded a ban on imports of LED products from Siemans Osram, and is now stepping up the pressure by demanding that Audi and BMW cars featuring Osram LED lights be banned.

Range Rover Evoque: A different Evoque for every customer

Sat, 05 Mar 2011

The Range Rover Evoque in Geneva came in a fetching shade of green We’ve had the roll out of the Range Rover Evoque piecemeal over the last nine months, from the first showing of an Evoque with a name at Kensingon Palace last July, through to the reveal of the 5-Door Evoque – accidentally at Paris and then officially at Los Angeles. What we now learn at Geneva is that Land Rover intends for the Evoque to be the most customisable Range Rover there has ever been, with an almost endless permutation of options and colours and fabrics and styles and… The starting point for customising the Evoque – beyond choosing either diesel or petrol, 2WD or 4WD and 3 or 5 door – is the basic trim options of Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. Then you’ll get confronted with the options for the exterior paint job; there are twelve of those with three different, contrasting roof colours.
