Hyundai ix35 FCEV Hydrogen Fuel Cell heading for Copenhagen
Tue, 25 Sep 2012Hyundai has announced that the Municipality of Copenhagen is taking delivery of 15 Hyundai ix35 FCEV as Hyundai roll out the FCEV. We recently reported that Hyundai are planning to have the hydrogen fuel cell powered ix35 – the ix35 FCEV – commercially available by the end of 2012, and that’s on track with the news that Copenhagen is taking fifteen ix35 FCEVs for its fleet. The decision by Copenhagen to take a small fleet of ix35 FCEVs is part of their quest to have a CO2-free city by 2015 (we assume that means all plant life will end), but the important thing is that running hydrogen cell cars round city roads will get rid of NOx and particulates – which is what really matters.
2013 Peugeot RCZ Facelift & RCZ R Concept
Wed, 12 Sep 2012Peugeot has revealed a facleift for the 2013 RCZ and a new, 260bhp concept as a new range topper – the Peugeot RCZ R. When we first reviewed the Peugeot RCZ we liked it a lot, but we thought it was a shame that the RCZ had Peugeot’s old nose and we thought it could do with a bit more get up and go. Both have been addressed with the 2013 facelift for Peugeot’s sporty RCZ.
Mazda MX-5 Kuro Special Editions
Thu, 28 Jun 2012Mazda has released yet another special edition MX-5 for the UK market in the guise of the Mazda MX-5 Kuro. Yes, it’s yet another special edition MX-5, this time the Mazda MX-5 Kuro which comes as either a 1.8 litre soft top or a 2.0 litre Roadster Coupe. It seems the Japanese like the idea of ‘Black’ Special Edition cars as much as we do in the West (Kuro means black in Japanese), with the last ‘Kuro’ special being the Nissan Juke Kuro. But oddly Mazda are offering the MX-5 Kuro not just in black but also in Velocity Red Mica and Crystal White Pearlescent, with the ‘Kuro’ bits referring to the Brilliant Black roof, door mirrors and dark gunmetal 17″ alloys.
