VW Golf Mk6 (2009): first photos

Wed, 06 Aug 2008

By Tom Richards First Official Pictures 06 August 2008 09:56 This is the sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf - officially unveiled today after a string of leaks - with new looks inspired by the Scirocco and a higher-quality interior. But underneath the new Golf's mildly warmed-over looks, the platform is still from the current Mk5 car. Well, Villa d’Este kicks off tomorrow, but Ferrari couldn’t resist releasing a few photos of the Superamerica 45 as it was readied for collection by Peter Kalikow, and a few details.

McLaren 12C Can-Am goes in to production

Sat, 17 Nov 2012

The track only McLaren 12C – the 12C Can-Am – was revealed as a one-off at Pebble Beach but is now going in to limited production. The 12C Can-Am is aimed at the lucrative track day market in the States, and without the constraints of any production series McLaren has been able to play as they wish. That means the 12C Can-Am – developed by the McLaren GT Team which developed the 12C GT3 Race car – gets a new aerodynamic package that improves downforce by 30 per cent, including a carbon fibre splitter with winglets, a carbon fibre diffuser and huge rear spoiler.
