Skoda trio voted 'best in Britain'

BRITISH drivers are happier with their cars than ever before, especially if they own a Skoda. According to new figures collected by Auto Express magazine's annual Driver Power survey, the average satisfaction rating for a car in the top 100 was a huge 88.36%, which equates to a 7% rise since the survey’s launch in 2002. Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of Auto Express, said: “The UK car market is booming at the moment with over two years of consecutive growth and new car registrations up 3%, and it is no surprise given the Driver Power results.

Ford Focus WTCC Edition gets 200bhp

World Touring Car outfit Arena has launched the Ford Focus WTCC Edition with a Mountune performance upgrade offering 200bhp. In fact, the Focus WTCC Edition is a warmed-over Focus 1.6 Zetec S which has been given a performance upgrade by Mountune (Ford’s tuner of choice and the same firm that delivered the power upgrade for the old Focus RS500) which means a jump from the 179bhp of the 1.6 Zetec S to 200bhp. Lincoln hires ex-Cadillac designer

Lincoln has hired ex-Cadillac designer Max Wolff to be its design director starting on Jan. 3. Wolff, 38, will oversee the look of Ford's luxury brand as it plans to launch seven new vehicles over the next four years, including its first C-segment small car.
