VW Polo BlueMotion (2010) launched

Thu, 18 Feb 2010

Volkswagen has launched the 2010 VW Polo BlueMotion in the UK Yesterday we got the range-topping, hot-hatch goodness that is the VW Polo GTI. Today we go from one extreme to the other with the UK launch of the VW Polo BlueMotion, for those car buyers who value  economy over performance. New Ford Mondeo Price & Specs – costs from £20,795

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

New 2014 Ford Mondeo Price & Specs – costs from £20,795 The new Ford Mondeo is almost the old Ford Mondeo, so long has it taken to get it ready to roll in the UK and Europe after Ford decided to switch production to Valencia. Bit ‘t’s finally gone on sale, more than two years after the US got their version of the Mondeo. The first European car to get Ford’s new C-D platform, the new Mondeo had a chassis tuned for best-in-class driving dynamics (say Ford) and steering weight and direction that matches the ‘Comfort’, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’ settings.

New CAFE proposal would add $5,000 to sticker price, dealer group says

Wed, 18 Jan 2012

An Obama administration proposal to nearly double today's fuel economy standards could end up tacking on $5,000 to the sticker price of a new vehicle, a top official with the National Automobile Dealers Association said Tuesday. The proposal, which seeks to raise the corporate average fuel economy to 54.5 mpg by the 2025 model year, would force automakers to adopt costly fuel-saving technologies that could eventually price some buyers out of the new-car market, said Don Chalmers, chairman of NADA's government relations committee. NADA, a dealer trade association, represents 16,000 new-vehicle dealers who operate 32,500 franchises.
