2014 fuel duty rise cancelled
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Chancellor George Osborne has confirmed in his Autumn Statement that the proposed 2014 fuel duty increase has been cancelled. This means the scheduled 2p increase in tax on every litre of petrol will now no longer happen. Citroën to unveil flagship model in Beijing
Tue, 20 Mar 2012Citroën has released two teaser images for a new luxury flagship model to be unveiled at the Beijing motor show next month, as part of its efforts to reposition the brand further upmarket with its DS model range. The car, which is to be the automaker's fourth and largest model in its DS range, appears to be a direct descendent of the Citroën Metropolis Concept, first seen at the Shanghai World Fair in 2010. Although it is unclear whether or not the model seen in the pictures will be the production version of the Metropolis, the two clearly share many design features.
Ten days and counting, China traffic jam extends 60 miles
Tue, 24 Aug 2010Tuesday marked the 10th day of a traffic jam extending more than 60 miles on China's Beijing-Tibet Expressway. The congestion is a result of road construction that is expected to continue until mid-September, the Associated Press reported. At one point, vehicles were moving little more than a half-mile a day.
