Jaguar C-X17 concept (2013) full details on new aluminium chassis
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Jaguar’s C-X17 crossover concept might have show-stopping looks, but it’s what will lie beneath the production crossover – thought to be called QX – that’s just as intriguing: an all-new aluminium platform, dubbed ‘iQ Al’. For more unseen location photos and an in-depth feature, pick up the October issue of CAR magazine, out Wednesday 18 September Jaguar C-X17 crossover concept: the lowdown on the ‘iQ Al’ aluminium platform ‘It had to be a clean-sheet design to reach our goals,’ says Jaguar vehicle line director Kevin Stride.
2013 Aston Martin Vanquish in the wild on video
Thu, 14 Jun 2012The new 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish – Project Am 310 from Villa D’Este – has been caught on video in Italy in production guise. The story of the replacement for the Aston Martin DBS – which we now know is to be the new Aston Martin Vanquish – has been playing out over the last month or so. We reported at the start of May that the DBS name would be dropped and then exclusively revealed that it would debut at Villa D’Este as the Project Am 310 to try and mop up the honours in the Concept Category (it actually lost out to the Alfa 4C).
Canadian Grand Prix: Vettel takes pole ahead of Hamilton
Sat, 08 Jun 2013Hamilton’s Mercedes (pictured) is in 2nd place for tomorrow’s Canadian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton may have managed to make it four front rows in a succession, but it’s Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel who has taken pole position in a rain soaked Montreal for tomorrow’s 2013 F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Early on in qualifying Hamilton and Rosberg dominated in the Mercedes, but the Red Bulls started to show their pace and in Q2 they were at the top of the leaderboard. Felipe Massa managed to crash in Q2 and Button, held up in the pit lane whilst the accident was cleared, couldn’t manage to get across the start-finish line in time to do another lap, crashing out in Q2 and 12th palce on tomorrow’s grid.
