Trail-Creeper gear kits from Trail Gear are designed to give you that ultra-low rock crawling gear ratio that is most desirable. These kits are specifically designed for Toyota Pickups and 4Runners, equipped with gear drive style transfer cases, from 1979 to 1995. The Trail-Creeper reduces the low range gear ratio from the stock 2.28:1 to a mighty rock busting 4.70:1, without affecting the high range gear ratio, which remains at 1:1. Some modification will be required for installation on 4 cylinder vehicles, and 6 cylinder vehicles will require the 4 cylinder gear drive unit and 6 cylinder adapter.

And the company put out a few teaser shots to whet your appetite before the launch this fall. The 2011 Durango shares its platform with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

They’re off down the 3-pot road, with the introduction in the New Year of the Hyundai i10 i-Blue - an 800cc three-pot engined car that should give crackingly good economy and emissions. Based on the 2008 Hyundai i10 Blue CNG Concept that was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008, its 800cc, turbo-charged three-cylinder engine should be good for 90bhp and slip in to the free VED bracket, with less than 100g/km CO2 emissions.

Infiniti reveals hood of the JX crossover

The slow reveal of the Infiniti JX crossover ahead of its debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August and the Los Angeles auto show in November continued on Thursday with a photo showing the seven-seat crossover's hood and grille. Infiniti plans to put the JX on sale in early 2012. The crossover will be built at Nissan's plant in Smyrna, Tenn., and will share its platform with the Nissan Altima, Maxima and Murano.
