It’s an interesting exercise to ponder on the future of main dealer showrooms as the world moves more and more towards an online buying experience. Are car showrooms a relic of the past or the perfect way, still, to showcase the offerings from a car maker? Volkswagen are taking no chances on the future and have already rolled out their ‘Digital Showrooms’ across the dealer network where staff get iPads and advanced web tools to try and bring the on-line and off-line worlds in to a workable intersection, and offer customers virtual product that wouldn’t otherwise be available on show.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe leaks before LA Auto Show reveal

Photos of the Jaguar F-Type Coupe were spotted on Tuesday in a German car magazine by the Zero2Turbo website, just hours before its scheduled debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In short, it looks just as sexy, if not more than its convertible counterpart. The full reveal of the new coupe will be streamed live right here at Autoweek at 10 p.m.

Caterham Seven Supersport R (2012) first pictures

It's certainly been a busy week for Caterham. Just a few days ago the company announced its partnership with Renault to create a new range of Alpine sports cars, and now the Surrey-based outfit has gone back its roots to develop an even more hardcore version of the Seven Supersport. Called the Caterham Seven Supersport R, the lightweight special gets an engine capacity increase and power bump over the regular car, but carries over its racing car-derived suspension.
