Transmission Module (tcm) Jeep Patriot / Compass 68032123ac / 05094622aa on 2040-parts.com
Lake City, South Carolina, US
This transmission control module was removed from a 2010 jeep patriot due to lack of network communication. the part number written on the sticker on the module is 68032123ac (shown in photo). A new module was ordered for the vehicle. The updated part number thats on the OE box (also shown in photos) is 05094622aa. After the new module was installed, it also failed to communciate. Ended up finding that the vehicle had harness damage from an accident-- broken wire -- that was robbing the TCM of its switched power feed. Fixed the harness and the module started working and the transmission shifting. We swapped the original module and the new module back and forth several times to ensure that both were working properly. My communication problem never was in the TCM, but rather in the harness the entire time. However, since the new module had already been installed it could not be returned. Left the new module in the vehicle and kept this one.... selling it to get it out of my inventory.
Please note that i have found issues with the interchange feature on modules in the past. Please verify that this item fits your vehicle before you purchase it. I know for sure that the old part number of 68032123ac changed to the updated number of 05094622aa. I also know for sure that both of these numbers fit a 2010 Patriot. I am depending upon the parts interchange for the rest of the information listed.

Senate committee sends auto-safety bill to the floor for vote
Thu, 10 Jun 2010The Senate Commerce Committee voted today to pass a far-reaching vehicle safety bill that has largely won both automaker and consumer support, sending the measure to the full Senate. The bill passed without objections from any senators. The legislation, crafted in the wake of Toyota's safety recalls this year, resembles a House bill that also is now on the floor of that chamber.
Concept Car of the Week: Opel CD (1969)
Fri, 24 Jan 2014Despite its sophisticated suspension and spacious interior, Opel struggled to sell its big Diplomat luxury sedan. It was 1968 and Opel simply couldn't compete with Mercedes-Benz, the leader in that segment by far. Bob Lutz, then a young executive at GM Europe, thought of using the sedan's chassis to create a large GT Coupe in an attempt to boost both its sales and profile.
