The chrome plated Adjustable Lock for trailers and containers is a spring steel lock plate designed to protect the back door padlock from tampering. A cast steel block protects the ABLOY® Padlock for maximum security from physical attack. This high-security lock is portable and easy to install. Half inch adjustable locking increments secured around the locking rods make for a tight fit on all trailers and containers. The padlock uses an internal tumbler system keyed to open using only one of 360 million combinations. Locks may be keyed alike, differently or  to a master system.

A top Toyota executive says the crash data boxes in its vehicles are reliable but a bug in the software that reads the information can provide inaccurate vehicle speeds. The disclosure comes as the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration continues its investigation into unintended acceleration of Toyota models. “Toyota has acknowledged previously that the event data recorders are not accurate,” said Takeshi Uchiyamada, executive vice president in charge of research and development.
