Nissan has revealed it plans to extend the warranty on the Nissan LEAF EV to warrant against battery capacity losses. We’ve asked many times why makers of electric cars seem to believe that their batteries will continue to hold the same amount of charge as they age, especially as every battery powered gadget we’ve ever owned loses its ability to hold the same charge as every month passes, and becomes pretty useless after a couple of years hard use. Savage Rivale develops telescopic roof system [w/video]

Savage Rivale has revealed its design for a retractable telescopic multi-panel roof system (RTMP) that will feature on its 2012 Road Yacht GTS supercar. The system features 4 panels with glass centers and carbon fiber frames that retract into the rear deck by a centrally-mounted telescopic arm. Its locking mechanism is placed within the C-pillars and is controlled via one central module.

Jaguar owners 'vote Conservative or Ukip'

JAGUAR owners are extremely happy with their cars, don't mind the firm's Indian ownership and are likely to vote Conservative or Ukip in the next general election, according to new statistics released today. A survey by WeLoveAnyCar.com among nearly 3,900 Jaguar owners found that 84% rated their motors an eight out of 10 or higher, with 32% rating theirs the perfect 10. The firm apparently has some way to go to shake off its 'old man's car' image, though, with 86% aged 50 or more and a whopping 94% being male.
