2011 LA Design Challenge entries revealed
Tue, 01 Nov 2011As the Los Angeles Auto Show rapidly approaches, the 8th international Design Challenge has been announced. Inviting studios from across the globe to compete, previous years have seen concepts created for environmentally conscious briefs that called for sub-1000lb vehicles through to ‘Motorsport 2025' concepts that reinterpreted motor racing in the semi-distant future. This year sees six design studios turning to the silver screen and creating the next ‘A-list automobile', those being: Honda Research and Development Americas, Inc; Hyundai Design North America; Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America inc.

Thu, 15 Mar 2012New Mercedes A Class to get 99g/km Mercedes are to use a 1.5 litre diesel from Renault to create a 99g/km Mercedes A Class Blueefficiency. When the new Mercedes A Class was revealed at Geneva last week we got plenty of news about what the cracking new A Class has to offer, including the news that there would be a Mercedes first with the new A Class – a 99g/km option. At the time Mercedes gave us no detail, but its now appears that they are going to use a Renault-sourced 1.5 litre diesel as the basis for the new A Class Eco version – suitably Mercedes sorted.
Jaguar Heritage Museum gets re-launched
Thu, 16 Jul 2009The Jaguar Heritage Museum has been re-launched and opens for visitors on 20th July Mike O’Driscoll is Chairman of the Jaguar Heritage Trust – as well as heading up Jaguar in the UK. He said: “The collection is an important part of Jaguar’s heritage and allows members of the public and Jaguar enthusiasts from around the world to view the famous cars. The structure of the museum has been re-designed so that visitors will gain a greater understanding of the fantastic racing history of our brand.
