MOTORACE has been studding motorcycle tires for winter use for over 20 years in the USA. First with Trelleborg, then with Cheng Shin and Michelin. We still stud and sell Michelin, and since the 2008-2009 season we are again studding Trelleborg! There was a name change from Trelleborg to Mitas. Same tire, same rubber - just a name change. These tires are NEW, and ready to get out in the snow!
Note:
These winter tires are specially designed for winter snow and ice off
road riding only. They are not to be used on bare of frozen ground as
excessive wear and tread damage may occur to tire and studs. These
studded winter tires are shipped with carbide tipped rally studs
installed by our special pneumatic machine. Automotive studding tools
will not work with our unique shaped, long studs, which are glued in
position. These studded winter tires are high performance specialty off
road only tires and do not carry any guarantees or warranties what so
ever.
These tires are studded in house with a mushroom base, carbide tipped steel stud. We drill the hole, we inject glue and then use a standing machine to insert the stud. It is a very time consuming process.
This tire is a Mitas / Trelleborg XT-434. This studding pattern is the PRO model - every single dimple is studded.
The size for this auction is 300-21 front. It has approx. 250 studs.

NAME CHANGE - For the last decade Trelleborg MX
Motorcycle tires have been produced by Mitas in the Czech Republic using molds
and technology purchased from Trelleborg Sweden. 2010 was the last year
of the brand name licensing agreement. The Trelleborg name use in the motorcycle
tire market has now ended. The identical MX tires continue to be
manufactured by Mitas in the Czech Republic and marketed using the Mitas brand
name. The original tread model numbers remain but will now be preceded by an
“X” as part of the Mitas “Sport Extreme” off-road motorcycle tire product line.

Councils urged to shun yellow lines
Mon, 07 Oct 2013COUNCILS are being asked to cut unsightly yellow lines as part of a Government drive to rid the streets of clutter. Local Transport Minister Norman Baker has urged local authorities to think about using restricted parking zones, instead of automatically opting to use yellow lines to control parking, particularly in single streets and environmentally-sensitive areas in towns and cities. Restricted parking zones require a limited number of signs which tell motorists if they can or can not park and during which times and are considered less intrusive than conventional yellow lines.
