Nissan confirms IDx for production

Nissan will produce at least one of the IDx concepts shown at the Detroit auto show. Vice president Andy Palmer said at the show, “Don’t say that we won’t do both, but we will definitely do one of them.” That statement confused us a bit, especially with the positioning of Nismo as upgraded versions of the company’s normal cars. Surely, the Freeflow could be repainted and improved into a Nismo version.

Based on the Vision ConnectedDrive, the 328 Hommage sports many ‘details derived from motor racing’ and is built using CFRP construction to keep overall weight down. Let's start with the muscle cars: As predicted in December, Chevrolet's Camaro sales topped the Ford Mustang's numbers for the first time in 25 years. In the Camaro's first full year since production ended after the 2002 model year, Chevy rung up 81,299 Camaro sales, beating Mustang by 7,583 cars.
