The Trick Performance Products TPP-00011 RPM WINDOW SWITCH is a 2 channel RPM activated window switch (RPMWS) with an integrated throttle-position activation switch (TPAS). The unit accepts most tach signals, including low-voltage and irregular signals such as those found on many V-10s. The TPAS accepts all analog throttle-position sensor signals as well as a hot or grounded wide-open-throttle (WOT) switch.
Both channels have their own settable ON and OFF points, and each has its own multi-gear lockout feature, which allows it to be turned off until you have cycled through the window. The internal TPAS can be configured to prevent the RPMWS channels from activating unless you are at WOT. Requires 9~18 volts to operate correctly. The output lines switch ground when activated (ON) and have a maximum current rating of 1 amp. All this and only the size of a spark plug box. The TPP-00011 RPM WINDOW SWITCH is built for the racing environment to withstand heat, vibration, dirt and water. It is designed to operate over the temperature range from -40 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to +85 degrees Celsius). According to Aston Martin, the Cygnet Launch Edition White and Cygnet Launch Edition Black are being built to ‘exemplify the highly bespoke nature of this unique car.’ Are we alone in spotting the irony of building a run of identical vehicles to highlight the customisable nature of the Cygnet? The Cygnet Launch Edition White is supposed to be about serenity, with Snow White paint, white diamond-turned alloy wheels, and white Aston badges on the outside, and white leather on the inside.

Tesla Model S first EV to earn high praise from Consumer Reports
Thu, 09 May 2013Tesla Motors Inc.'s all-electric Model S sports car received the highest score in Consumer Reports' ratings -- a 99 out of 100 -- along with widespread plaudits from the magazine's automotive testing staff. The magazine said the $89,650 EV it tested "performed better, or just as well overall, as any other vehicle -- of any kind -- ever tested by Consumer Reports." The last vehicle to achieve a score of 99 in the magazine's testing was the Lexus LS 460L, which was tested in 2007. The Model S, which went on sale in 2012, also marks the first time any electric vehicle has earned a score that high, the magazine said Thursday.
