Radiator Caps are manufactured using either metal or plastic design depending on the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications. Tridon offers an extensive range of radiator caps covering both metal and plastic designs suitable for use on sealed recovery or open non recovery vehicle cooling systems. In a sealed recovery system the cap (double seal) allows coolant to flow to and from the recovery or expansion tank, maintaining the integrity of the cooling system. A non recovery system does not have a recovery or expansion tank; therefore a non recovery cap (single seal) only allows the release of coolant and return of air to the system. A non recovery cap cannot be used on a recovery system. As well as the McLaren P1 making its driving debut at Goodwood this year – and taking on the hillclimb, McLaren is taking a trio of legendary F1 cars to the festival too. On show will be the 1995 Le Mans winning F1 GTR, a car which allowed McLaren to become the first racing team ever to win the Formula 1, Indy 500, Can Am and Le Mans Championships.
