Here is a real nice set of Weber triple carbs for your Z car. Linkage included but a choke cable will be necessary. These were on a stock L24 motor when I bought the car. It did not run very well so I took them off and put the stock SU's on it. I still ran poorly so after a complete tune up it ran great so I really can't blame the Webers but I think it is too much for a stock motor daily driver. There were no leaks, fuel or vacuum. they are 40 DOCE.

MINI Coupe & Roadster – 2nd & 3rd video teaser

Fri, 11 Sep 2009

The second and third episodes of MINI's Two Untamed video teasers This looks like the same twins MINI used in the first MINI video teaser – - only this time they are less dressed – down to black bikinis. Theme is the same – two different aspects of the same. It would also seem that MINI are suggesting that one is wilder than the other, as in the first video.

Jaguar XF Estate on the way

Sun, 22 Mar 2009

Jaguar XF Estate - Expected to show as a Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September Jaguar doesn’t have the best history on estate cars (the X-Type Estate, although a reasonable car – and 4WD – was just a Mondeo with smart clothes) but the Jaguar XF is such a triumph for Jaguar that I’m sure we’ll see the XF Estate taking the fight to the Germans in a big way. It’s reasonable to expect the standard engines and trim versions to carry over to the Estate, but apparently so will the mighty XFR trim. Which means we will see a Jaguar Estate car which will be able to take on the likes of the M5 Estate, the E63 AMG Estate and the RS6 Estate.

It's ambitious, it's unprecedented and it's loaded with pitfalls. But if it can be pulled off, it could serve as a template for international growth for American auction houses. Russo and Steele is expanding into China and has announced plans this fall to form a joint venture with a Chinese company as a foothold.
