Triumph 78 T140 repro seat, brown, like new 83-7129, UK made Hard to find seat in this color. Bought new from British Only Motorcycles several years ago, never used since the bike was sold before I had a chance to mount it. Still in the shipping plastic. British Only part number on sticker says: “01-83-7129R Made in United Kingdom BS74”. Wed, 05 Jan 2011Ford Model T climbs Ben Nevis in 1911 (click for full size image) When the good Mr Clarkson decided Top Gear should do a piece about a Land Rover Discovery using its incredible off-road abilities to climb a mountain in Scotland we were all astonished that – despite a couple of hiccups on the way – he managed to get one of Land Rover’s finest up a mountain where cars were never designed to go. What’s even more astonishing is that Ford managed to do the same 100 years go, but they used a standard Model T and choose Britain’s tallest mountain – Ben Nevis – for the stunt. The 20 horsepower Model T was driven up Ben Nevis as a publicity stunt for Ford’s agent in Edinburgh.

Lotus Evora won't reach roads in the United States until 2010
Wed, 11 Mar 2009The guys in Europe will have first crack at Lotus's first all-new production car in more than a decade. Assembly of the Evora is under way, with deliveries of the 2+2 mid-engine coupe beginning in May. North American will have to sit tight until the Evora lands here early next year.
