Top Gear Christmas Special – Equality & Diversity remit fulfilled
Sun, 02 Jan 2011Top Gear offend Christians and Muslims We know that the entire Top Gear team – from Messrs Clarkson, Hammond, May and Wilman on down – are steeped in modern sensibilities. We know, for example, that every item Top Gear runs is first passed through two diversity and three equality committees to ensure that every item in every episode is fair, unbiased and inclusive. Not only are equality and diversity the bedrock on which Top Gear is built, the whole Top Gear team is dedicated to fairness and the eradication from Top Gear of all subjectivity.
Range Rover Evoque Convertible NOT going in to production. Thankfully.
Sun, 07 Apr 2013It seems Land Rover is having second thoughts about making the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – shown at Geneva 2012 – in to a production model. But the one model we really couldn’t find a lot of positives in was the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – which arrived as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – looking like the ultimate statement of Chav central for Tango’d ‘Ladies’ who lunch, from Brentwood via Surrey and up to Cheshire. Sebastian Loeb smashes Pikes Peak record in Peugeot 208 T16 (video)
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Sebastian Loeb smashes Pikes Peak record in Peugeot 208 T16 (pictured) This weekend saw the Pikes Peak hillcimb action, with powerful cars tackling the more than 12 mile course, with all its twists and turns, in a thrilling spectacle. But no spectacle was more thrilling that the run by Sebastian Loeb in the Peugeot 208 T16. The Peugeot 208 T16 (which bears about as much resemblance to your 208 as Loeb’s driving does to your Granny’s) gets a 3.2 litre twin turbo V6 with 875bhp, enough to hit 62mph in a scant 1.8 seconds and on to 150mph.
