Triumph  GT6
Delco D-202 / 204 Distributor

This unit was removed from a 1969 GT6 in 1972
with only 24,000 miles on the car.
The vehicle was fully operational at the time.

Yes, the vacuum diaphragm is fully functional
and the centrifuge springs as well as weights are in tact.
The tachometer gear take off is working properly.

The new owner will need to replace
the distributor cap, points and condenser.

The engine was removed from the car in 1972 and placed in storage.

This is a very rare find
and only being sold because I've gone to the
123 Computerized Distributor with a custom electronic tachometer

Yet despite a myriad of recent technical innovations, ask the man on the street what is the problem with cars of today, and he'll likely reply along the lines of "they all look the same". Mass production processes, packaging requirements and safety and regulatory constraints are just a few of the reasons why it is hard to make a car that looks truly different.

Le Mans 2010: a picture gallery by Alex Tapley

Tue, 15 Jun 2010

Last month I returned from my second consecutive Nurburgring 24hr race, so I was excited to be getting my first taste of Le Mans last weekend. Two very similar concepts, yet the endurance races at the Ring and Le Mans differ hugely, and both excite for very different reasons. The second-gen Note packs better safety and driver assistance tech into an altogether more fashionable body than its cute but uninpsiring predecessor. Does it have enough talent to cause nightmares for the Ford Fiesta and Honda Jazz?
